You've got to be prepared with the proper
motorcycle rain gear. It's bad enough to ride in
the rain, but to be cold and wet and riding in the rain is even
worse. And on top of that, it's unsafe! Trying to concentrate on
what that 18-wheeler is doing to your right when your teeth are
rattling is a challenge. So don't risk your life on a rainy highway,
spend some money and get a good motorcycle rain suit. The next time it rains,
you'll be glad you did.
Look for a nylon or Gore-Tex rain suit
with a positive closure at the neck, arm cuffs and leg
cuffs. I generally use a two-piece rain suit as it's easier to get
in and out of.
